? ? Makki al-Hijazi mentions hadeeth Nikah without wali is invalid but be grateful that Imam abu Hanifa (رَحِمَهُ ٱللّٰهُ تعالى) said its valid ? ?
A Hanafi muqallid by the name of Muhammad Khayr a.k.a. Makki al-Hijazi is a Deobandi with Ikhwani with Jamat-e-Islami/Tanzeem leanings who has been granted a teaching chair in the Haram for many years.
As proven my mutiple saheeh hadeeth that nikah of a virgin woman without a guardian (wali) is invalid.
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There is no marriage except with a guardian.”
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ “ لاَ نِكَاحَ إِلاَّ بِوَلِيٍّ ”
Makki al-Hijazi mentions this hadeeth in the haram and says that many scholars have accepted this, but tells his listeners to be grateful that Imam abu Hanifa رَحِمَهُ ٱللّٰهُ تعالى deemed such a nikah as valid albeit sinful.
سبحان الله
May Allah ﷻ save us from such blind following (taqleed) of scholars.
May Allah ﷻ guide Makki al-Hijazi and protect the ummah from these false teachings and purify the Haram from such preachers of falsehood.
