The deviant Syed Ahmed Khan also a neo-Mutazili and he authored his own deviant tafseer called “Tahrir fi Usul al-Tafsir”. Which was based on misguided rationalism and self-interpreted linguistic explanations.
Syed Ahmed himself mentions in his “Maqalaat” that his Usool for Tafseer is based on language only rather than based on explanations with hadith of the prophet ﷺ and the athar of the sahaba (رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ)
